Ricky started his career as a passionate scientist placing a range of technical experts into scientific companies across the UK. Now he helps provide science and technology companies with talent, as well as supporting associated professionals with their careers worldwide across both technical and commercial disciplines. Ricky was crowned winner of The Apprentice in June and has since successfully set up and expanded his own specialist recruitment consultancy using the investment from Lord Sugar.

APSCo member Hyper Recruitment Solutions HRS is a recruitment company specialising in the sciences that not only provides a service to the industry, but also actively promotes the science field. The business aims to provide subject matter expertise in science and recruitment practice.
A scientist himself, Ricky is keen to encourage people to consider a career in the sciences and dispel myths that it is a sector filled with white coats and goggles. Whilst unemployment continues to pose a threat for many, HRS is recruiting in the science field and already has esteemed clients on board across a wide variety of sectors including Pharmaceutical, Clinical and Consumer Goods to name but a few.

The Apprentice Lord Sugar BBC One Lord Sugar is a philanthropist for a number of charities including Great Ormond Street Hospital and Jewish Care. Sugar also controls Amsair Executive Aviation, founded in and run by his son, Daniel Sugar.
As with Amstrad, Amsair’s name is taken from his initials: Alan Michael Sugar Air. Amsair is a British private aircraft charter company that provides executive and business jet charters.
Lord Sugar has also appeared in all series of BBC’s The Apprentice, where aspiring young businessmen and women compete for the chance to work with him.
It was during this time that he invested in the scientific recruitment entrepreneur Ricky Martin, with whom he founded Hyper Recruitment Solutions.
